Looking for powerful, no-prep SEL or character education activities/lessons that actually gets teens talking? THIS IS IT! These hands-on, student-led activities on core values get DEEP into the “why” behind their choices and what matters most to them.
There are 40 editable slides that walk students through 4 actually interesting activities. (I mean, I even wanted to play them) Take a look:
Values Auction – Students bid on the values that matter most to them. Highest bid wins—but they only have 100 points to spend, so they’ve gotta choose wisely.
Values in Conflict – What happens when two important values go head-to-head? Like honesty vs. kindness... would you tell your friend their breath stinks?
Values at Play – Students break down real-life scenarios to figure out which values are in action.
Group Values – In three rounds, students experience how tricky it gets to agree on group values. The bigger the group, the harder it is. Hint: this happens all the time in real life (peer pressure, anyone?)
All of these activities get teens FULLY in on the lesson. Together, they take about 100 minutes total, so I break them into two 50-minute sessions.
Included:
-Clear teacher instructions with NHES alignments
-Student worksheets for guided activities and reflections
-40 editable Google Slides to follow along
